Zimmer Austria stands at the forefront of digital carpet printing technology, offering cutting-edge solutions tailored for both high-pile and short-pile carpets. Their advanced systems—ChromoJET and Colaris—ensure precision, flexibility, and vibrant results for diverse production needs.

The ChromoJET 400 is ideal for high-pile carpets using spot colour printing. This system injects pre-mixed dyes directly into the carpet face, requiring a colour kitchen to manage up to 16 shades. With a resolution of up to 25 dpi and dye laydown between 500–5000 GSM, this method ensures rich colour penetration. Thickeners and chemicals are blended into the dye paste for optimal results.

For more intricate carpet printing, the ChromoJET 800 uses process colour technology. Up to 16 base dyes can be mixed to generate a broad spectrum of shades at higher resolutions (50–100 dpi) and dye application rates of 300–3000 GSM. It also requires a colour kitchen and integrates thickeners directly in the paste.

The Colaris system, designed for short-pile carpet printing, uses high-resolution inkjet technology—up to 1600 dpi—with minimal ink usage (10–200 GSM). Unlike other methods, no colour kitchen is needed, and thickeners are applied separately.
