Ceremat Cloth Guiding System

The Mahlo Ceremat cloth guiding system guides the cloth in a preselected position into the machine, thus ensuring trouble-free processing at a subsequent stage ( for e.g. padder feed-side, sanforizer, minimum wastage at the selvedge cutters) and a top-quality product. The system employs an ultrasensitive, pneumatic actuator which, ensures stable and accurate cloth guidance and adjustment, even at high line speeds. A remote, broadband sensor determines the actual, lateral position (line) of the online web. A comparison between the sensor's two outputs and subsequent evaluation produces a control signal for the assembly's actuator (servomotor). The course taken by the web is then corrected accordingly. A variety of guide-slat coverings allow the Ceremat to be used in a wide range of applications, depending on the material being processed.
