Fabric Division Building

Rajapalayam Mills Ltd. was founded in 1935 by the grandfather of the current chairman, Mr. PR Venketrama Raja, and subsequently expanded continuously and is today a major producer of yarns, especially from cotton and cotton blends. Now it is time for change: Rajapalayam Mills is entering the weaving business to produce mainly high-quality yarn-dyed greige fabrics. Through vertical integration, the company aims to offer added value to its customers. Its yarns go mainly to textile manufacturers who produce premium items for the shirting sector and buy in fabrics when demand exceeds their own capacity. For those producers with excess orders, Rajapalayam Mills Ltd. aims to become the preferred supplier, with an initial capacity of 10 million meters of fabric per year.

When equipping the entire weaving preparatory mill, Rajapalayam Mills Ltd. examined the technology of different suppliers. After intensive evaluation, the choice fell on KARL MAYER. Among other things, two standard sectional warping machines of the ISOWARP type including five warping creels were ordered.

Navin AgrawalNavin Agrawal, Vice President of A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited, the Indian KARL MAYER agency, wanted to know more about the order and met Mr. PR Venketrama Raja for an interview.
