Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute’s (VJTI) VASTRA – 2019 – A.T.E. the key supporter

The 16th edition of the annual technical summit VASTRA 2019 was organised by the Textile Manufacturers Department of VJTI Mumbai on 15 and 16 February 2019. A.T.E. was one of the key sponsors.

Mr Navin Agrawal, an alumnus of the B.Text. batch of 1992, was invited as a guest speaker who presented on ‘Total solution provider capabilities by A.T.E.’. Mr Rajesh Padalkar, also an alumnus, handled all the marketing related tasks for the company at the event.

The Textile Alumni Meet (TAM) was organised under the banner of VASTRA 2019.  Mr G V Aras, being a prominent alumnus of VJTI from the B.Text. batch of 1979 was invited as the guest of honour. Mr Aras addressed the audience of students, faculty, and alumni about the prospects of the textile industry and scope for career building. The highlight of the evening was the felicitation of the golden jubilee batches of degree and diploma courses of the year 1969 by Mr Aras.

During the event, A.T.E also announced a scholarship program for the financially needy diploma and degree students. This year 3 students have been selected for the scholarship. Mr Aras handed over the certificates of scholarship to the selected candidates during the event.

The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries from all over India, including notable alumni of the Textile Manufactures Department and guests from the textile industry.
