Manufacturing is a core part of A.T.E.’s capability. The Group operates a large integrated fabrication, machining, control system design facility in Ahmedabad, encompassing product development, assembly, testing, and quality control. This enables closer control over execution, faster customisation, and solutions suited to operating conditions. This manufacturing base is complemented by strong engineering teams and service infrastructure, allowing A.T.E. to support customers across the full lifecycle of their systems.

Founded by Mr Shyamlal Bhagwati, A.T.E. introduced advanced German textile machinery to India, modernising the industry and supporting the nation’s industrial growth.

Associated Textile Engineers (A.T.E.) is founded by S. H. Bhagwati to supply textile machinery in India, laying the foundation for a long-term commitment to engineering excellence.
1973–1975
Formation of Stovec Industries Limited with Stork N.V., Netherlands (1973), followed by the establishment of A.T.E. Industries Private Limited with C. Eugen Maier (1975) for manufacturing precision components for the textile industry.
1988
Formation of Johnson Pump (India) Ltd. with Johnson Pump AB, Sweden, to manufacture a broad raange of industrial pumps for sectors including marine, pharma, chemical, food, and environmental engineering.
2002
Establishment of Zinser Textile Systems Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture with Zinser (Saurer Group), for manufacturing roving frames.
2008–2009
A.T.E. expands into clean technology: 2008: Investment in HMX Systems Pvt. Ltd. (energy-efficient cooling solutions) and A.T.E. Envirotech Pvt. Ltd. (water & wastewater management). 2009: Investment in Valence Electrons Pvt. Ltd., specialising in industrial static control solutions.

Creation of the AxisValence business unit under A.T.E. Enterprises, combining print & packaging equipment with Valence Electrons’ product portfolio.

Two major joint ventures mark this year: Trumac Engineering Company Pvt. Ltd. with Trützschler GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, for manufacturing blow rooms, cards, and draw frames. (Today known as Truetzschler India Pvt. Ltd.) Erhardt + Leimer (India) Ltd. with Erhardt + Leimer GmbH, Germany, for advanced web-guiding and control systems across multiple industries.

A.T.E. initiates a manufacturing partnership with A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co., Germany, for producing stenters in India.
2005–2006
2005: Formation of A.T.E. Technologies Bangladesh Pvt. Ltd. 2006: Formation of EcoAxis, offering machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions and register control systems for printing and packaging.

Acquisition of SKF India’s textile component business leads to the formation of TeraSpin, focused on high-precision spinning components. 2014–2015 2014: Merger of HMX Systems and EcoAxis Systems into A.T.E. Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. 2015: Divestment from Zinser Textile Systems. A.T.E. also partners with the Chandra family to establish the A.T.E. Chandra Foundation for philanthropic initiatives.

Formation of KARL MAYER Textile Machinery India Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture with KARL MAYER and Rabatex Industries, for manufacturing warp preparation machines and creels.
