Atul Bhagwati Mr Atul Bhagwati received his degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering from Pune University (India) in 1953. He joined the group immediately after his graduation and training in Germany. Besides his career as an industrialist, Mr Atul Bhagwati has also been honoured as an industry leader. Among other associations he has served, he has led the Indian Merchants Chamber (President – 1996-97), the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (President–1994-95 & 2002-04), and the Textile Machinery Manufacturers' Association (Chairman – 1978-81). |

Anuj Bhagwati Mr Anuj Bhagwati completed his B.S. (Engineering Physics) with distinction (1991) and M.S. (Applied Physics) (1994) – both from Cornell University, USA. Mr Bhagwati, who now heads the A.T.E. Group, joined the Group in 1994 and has held various positions in the Group. He has been actively involved in a wide range of activities in the group: for example, he introduced IT to the group, has been responsible for various group level functions, managed several companies, put together joint ventures, and been part of divestments, turnarounds, start-ups and scale-ups. In the process he has transformed A.T.E. into a modern and technology oriented group. Under the leadership of Mr Bhagwati, the group has diversified into machine-to-machine solutions and clean technology. The group’s foray into clean technology reflects Mr Bhagwati’s personal commitment to environmental protection. Mr Bhagwati has been active with the Textile Machinery Manufacturers' Association (TMMA), India and is the Chairman for the year 2009-2010. He is a member of the Governing Council of the Bombay Textile Research Association (BTRA). He is active with various non-profit bodies as well, such as the Urban Design Research Institute and the Kala Ghoda Association; and he was a co-founder of the Praja Foundation. From July 1, 2009 Mr Bhagwati was also appointed as a member of the Council of Cornell University. He has also been appointed as Director, Institute of Human Settlements, Inc., and Member, Governing Council, K J Somaiya College of Engineering. |

Dr S R Ganesh Dr Ganesh had a distinguished academic career in leading institutes: IIT, MIT (Cambridge, USA) and the London Business School. He then taught at leading institutes, such as the Andersen Graduate School of Management, S. P. Jain Institute of Management Research, and Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is a visiting Senior Professor at NMIMS, Mumbai, since 2004. He was a former Member of Senate, IIT, Bombay, and a Member of Academic Council, NITIE. His business career is marked with stints as a senior executive with India's blue chip companies such as Reliance Industries, Hindustan Lever. He was a Consulting Advisor to TCS, Mumbai and also Essar Group. He has consulting experience of over two decades in the areas of strategy development, organization development, and management development. Dr Ganesh also serves on the board of AIA Engineering Ltd and Aries Agro Limited. |

Shailesh Sheth Mr Shailesh Sheth is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management. He has long experience in the engineering industry, as he served as a Managing Director of Perfect Machine Tools for several years. Mr Sheth is associated with many leading associations and has been the past President of Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association, Chairman of National Committee on Capital Goods, CII, New Delhi, Chairman of Manufacturing Competitiveness Council, CII Western Region, etc. Mr Sheth is on the Board of: Endress + Hauser (India) Pvt. Dr Vivek K Soni Vivek Soni is an independent consultant focused on cleantech investment and business strategy. From 2001 to 2004, he was President, Corporate Technology Strategy and Services, at the Aditya Birla Group (revenues of $ 8.3 Billion), an India based manufacturing and services conglomerate with operations within and outside India. Prior to joining the Aditya Birla Group, Vivek was Director, Science & Technology, at Polaroid Corporation, where he worked from 1987 to 2001 Dr Soni started his career in 1985 at Shell Development Company, a Royal Dutch/Shell Group Company in Houston, TX. He is a member of TiE Boston and has an excellent network in India and in the financial, business and technical communities in the US. Dr Soni received his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a B. Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India. G V Aras, Director, A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited – Textile Engineering Group (TEG) Mr Aras is M.Text from Mumbai University, Mumbai, India. He held first rank with distinction in the University in B.Text. He has also completed a Diploma in Marketing Management and has been conferred membership of the Institution of Engineers, India. Mr Aras has in all 30 years of experience in textile and textile engineering industry. He has been with A.T.E. since more than 25 years. He joined A.T.E. in 1981 as a Junior Sales and Service Engineer and rose to attain the position of Director - Textile Engineering Group (TEG) of A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited. As the head of TEG, Mr Aras is responsible for the total functioning of the TEG, its profitability, customer/principal relationship, business strategy and growth. Mr Aras is on the committees of the Bureau of Indian Standards, Indo-Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and the Textile Association of India (Mumbai chapter), and is a member on the Senate of VJTI as well as its Technical Advisory Group. |

Rajendra Halbe, Director, A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited – Clean Technology Group (CTG) Mr Halbe obtained a B. Tech (Chemical Engineering) degree with Ist class from Laxmi Narayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India. He has about 30 years of experience, and had been with Thermax Ltd., India for 22 years in various capacities. In Thermax, he was the Executive Vice President (Member of Executive Council) from July 2000 to till he left the company in July 2002. As a member of Executive Council he was responsible for strategy formulation of four core businesses of the company namely: industrial equipment of energy & environment apart from industrial cooling & chemicals. Leveraging his vast experience, he started a strategic management consultancy organization, Chiron Lasting Solutions Pvt Ltd, where he was a Consulting Partner. A.T.E. was one of Chiron's customers and he joined the A.T.E. Group full time in October 2006 to implement the blueprint he made for A.T.E.'s new strategy. Today, he is responsible as a strategic business head for A.T.E.'s Industrial Product Group (IPG) and Clean Technology Group (CTG) He is a member of the board of various companies of the A.T.E. K P Singh, President (Operations), Zinser Textile Systems Private Limited He has 25 years of experience. He worked with Xerox for 22 years – including a year with Xerox Corp. Webster USA – and was heading the manufacturing operations in India. Also, Mr Singh is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt with a long experience in driving TQM/Six Sigma projects at Xerox. He is with A.T.E. since June 2006 and is responsible for the complete operations of its unit, Zinser Textile Systems Private Limited, and its expansion and growth. |

Abhay Nalawade, Managing Director, EcoAxis Systems Private Limited He has 34 years experience, out of which he had a long stint with Thermax Ltd. for 25 years (1975 to 2000). Starting as Marketing Executive, he grew rapidly in Thermax holding various positions of responsibility. He was promoted as a Director on the Board in 1987, Executive Director in 1992, and he rose to the position of CEO & Managing Director in 1996. He left the company in July 2000 to become an entrepreneur. Mr Nalawade is the Founder and Managing Director of EcoAxis Systems Pvt. Ltd. Bhushan Zarapkar, Director Operations, A.T.E.Envirotech Private Limited" He began his career as a sales engineer in 1991 with Urminus Industries Ltd. an engineering company specialized in water and wastewater treatment. By dint of his hardwork and impressive performance, he rapidly rose in the organization, earning a reputation as a sound and innovative environmental engineer. This boosted his confidence and with the help of his colleagues he started his own environmental firm (AET) in the year 2000. In 8 years, under his leadership, AET executed more than 100 projects in India and abroad. AET thus built up extensive experience in the field of water and waste water management, solid waste management and solar energy systems. AET has successfully implemented many innovative projects. Copper recovery from effluent using electro-chemical process and chelating resin,a large sea water decarbonation plant, effluent treatment plant for weakly biodegradable amine effluent, effluent treatment for TNT and RDX plant, solar powered wireless traffic signals, effluent recycle system using VSEP technology etc are some of the examples. |

In 2005, along with Col (Retd) K L Viswanathan, Mr Sethuram set-up Valence Electrons (P) Ltd., Bangalore – India. Valence manufactures a range of charging and discharging solutions for industry.. Col. (Retd.) K L Viswanathan, Executive Director, Valence Electrons (P) Limited Colonel KL Viswanathan is an alumnus of National Defence Academy and Indian Military Academy. He has specialised in Artillery Arms Technology from School of Artillery, Deolali and in Computer Science from Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, MHOW. He has over 31 years of experience in operations, administration, logistics and management in various capacities at all levels of army command including at the army headquarters. He has served as a faculty at Artillery Training Centre, School of Artillery and National Defence Academy. In the latter half of his armed forces service, he was involved in conceptualisation, development and induction of automated command, control and communication system.
