St. Catherine’s Home, Andheri (W), Mumbai, is doing an outstanding service to society by taking care of about 400 females, who are orphans, rescued and abused girls/minors, unwed mothers, which also include some HIV +ve children, including infants. It strives to provide an overall development to children, aiming to make them independent. The children are taken care until they are adolescents. The campus itself consists of a primary and a secondary school.
In addition to financial support, A.T.E. is also working closely with St. Catherine’s Home, Andheri, Mumbai for the training and development of their children. Some of the initiatives on this front are as under:

A 2-day workshop on Personality Development was conducted on November 16-17 2010. The workshop was conducted by Mr Anand Ambdoskar, Vice President, Head - Human Resources, assisted by Mr Prashant Bhandary, Deputy General Manager – Human Resource and Ms Chaitali Dalvi, Senior Officer – Human Resources of A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited.
The topics covered in the workshop were: Encouraging English speaking, how to give self-introduction, interpersonal communication and how to appear for interview. Methodologies used were: lectures, movies, short stories, role-plays, video shooting and action replay, etc.
24 girls from 10th standard and above (accompanied by Sister Sheetal) participated in this interactive workshop. The 1st day of the workshop was held in the campus of St. Catherine’s Home, while the 2nd day of the workshop was held at the Andheri office of A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited.
The children participated in the workshop with full joy and enthusiasm and they exhibited a great sense of discipline and keen learning interest.

A team of people from A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited’s Fort and Andheri offices have volunteered to teach the children from St. Catherine’s Home basic English, creative skills like drawing, computer skills, etc.
They have already conducted few sessions with these children, wherein the children’s participation was remarkable for their high level of enthusiastic involvement and keenness to learn.
