PURPOSE BEYOND PROFIT - A.T.E. CARES

A.T.E. has always been involved in social activities. For example, A.T.E. formed the Associated Industries Rural Development Trust in 1979. The objective of this Trust is to improve the quality of life of the rural poor by helping them and training them to be economically self-reliant. The Trust has to date at various times adopted 10 villages around Ahmedabad, Mehsana and Surendranagar. The Trust provides, as needed, education and training, medical care, health and hygiene, treatment of cattle, and conducts diagnostic camps and programs for community development. It conducts relief operations in the event of calamities.
The Trust has also built and is managing a 30-bed hospital – Santokba Bhagwati General Hospital, Dholka. The Trust is supported by A.T.E. and the PRAMOL Group and managed actively by Prakash Bhagwati.
Today, A.T.E.'s focus in social activities has been concentrated in the areas of urban planning, improvement and governance. A.T.E. is therefore associated closely with various NGOs, such as the Urban Design Research Institute (www.udri.org), the Kala Ghoda Association (www.kalaghodaassociation.com), and the Praja Foundation (www.praja.org).
A.T.E. also supports Marathi Vidnyan Parishad, an NGO promoting awareness about science in daily life among students and in urban and rural areas.
In addition, A.T.E. supports various other institutes and non-government organizations (NGOs) providing exemplary service to the needy sections of the society; for the care and development of destitute and underprivileged children; and also other activities which are dedicated to education and healthcare.
